To reach the top of the Arapietra ridge means enjoying one of the most evocative views in the area. From here, you can take in the valleys below and the Monti della Laga mountains. The bronze statue of the Madonnina del Gran Sasso, known as Bianca Castellana, guides hikers along the numerous trails that start from this area and cross the entire Gran Sasso massif.
The Cascata di Biselli at the foot of the Paretone del Corno Grande mountain side, is an impressive waterfall located along a short trail starting in Fano di Corno. The seasonal river, the Rio Pecorale, feeds this spectacular waterfall, creating a true naturalistic spectacle. An unmissable attraction for those who love unspoilt nature.
The San Pietro Beech Forest is one of the most popular naturalistic destinations for nature lovers. Located at an altitude of 1,000 metres, it offers numerous trails to explore on foot or by bike. Not only is it a perfect location for naturalistic exploration, but it also assures breathtaking views of the Gran Sasso mountain range.
The Paretone del Corno Grande is the most impressive rock face in the Apennines, fascinating and fearsome at the same time. With its drops and very steep sections, hikers can climb 1,600 metres and reach the Vetta Orientale, the eastern peak: a unique adventure for those who seek a full on naturalistic experience.
